About this Event
Write-In for Making a Change is a space for students to come with their concern and anxiety about the political and/or institutional climate to use writing as a way to sort through thoughts and help them identify the next step(s) toward taking action.
These are our first sessions for all students to share their thoughts and concerns. The first sessions will be followed by recurrent topic-specific sessions with a faculty advisor whose expertise helps students to articulate their questions regarding institutions, learn how to navigate through the institutional structure and practice their advocacy and activism in a creative and collaborative manner for a productive conversation.
Potential topics of each session include experiences as immigrants/international students, economic equity, such as access to food, housing, and childcare, gender-affirming environments, the ethical implications of AI.
Hosted by Antiracism and Intersectional Justice Committee in the Writing and Critical Inquiry Program.
