All participants will take part in an arts & craft project on bracelet making while watching a film about Native American boarding schools. The purpose of this program is to foster inclusive thought about how destructive assimilation can be to cultural groups when it is forced and widely neglectful of a person’s primary culture. After thirty minutes of watching the film we will break for discussion about how this film is helping bring to light the atrocities of the past.
