This November, we’re shining a spotlight on the power of nanotechnology—from semiconductors and CHIPs to smart materials—and its impact on our world.

Experience the excitement of science at UAlbany’s annual STEM and Nanotechnology Family Day. Families and students in grades 2–8 can explore 20+ interactive activities—test robots, investigate climate science, mix up non-Newtonian fluids like oobleck, build with Legos and try nano-inspired experiments such as exploring thin films, light-bending materials and self-cleaning surfaces.

Partners include

  • UAlbany College of Nanotechnology, Science, and Engineering (CNSE)

  • UAlbany College of Emergency Preparedness, Homeland Security, and Cybersecurity (CEHC)

  • Atmospheric Sciences Research Center and the NYS Mesonet

  • New York State Master Teachers

  • NY CREATES–Albany NanoTech

  • Corporate partners

  • UAlbany student organizations

The event offers a lively look at how today’s science is shaping tomorrow’s world.
