STEM and Earth Sciences Family Day 2026

The second STEM and Earth Sciences Family Day welcomes Capital Region 2nd - 8th grade students and their families. In honor of Earth Day, this free, family event will have over 30 hands-on activities focused on learning and exploring the environment, weather and climate, engineering, nanotechnology and sustainability.
Parking is free in ETEC lots.
Come see robotic dogs and cloud water collection demonstrations. Make seed bombs, zero electric toys, Earth Day bracelets and biodegradable bird feeders. Hear from local scientists, tour the New York State Mesonet operations center, explore the big globe in UAlbany’s Science-on-a-Sphere Room, understand an air quality van,and even watch weather balloon launches from the ETEC parking lot!
