Screening and Q&A with film director, Tarik El Idrissi over Zoom

Students of the Postcolonial Lab will host a screening of Sounds of Berberia (2023), a road movie directed by Tarik El Idrissi. The film follows two young musicians from Morocco's Rif Mountains as they traverse North Africa in search of the authentic Amazigh sound. Along the way, they encounter cultural complexities and personal revelations. The film delves into themes of identity, migration and Berber music and culture.
