On Obedience: Reflections on Community, Care and Authoritarianism
About this Event
1220 Washington Ave, Albany, NY 12203
In the six years since On Obedience was published the political, national security and societal context has undergone profound challenges and transformations which require some rethinking of the central themes of the book (obedience, virtue, dissent, judgement and negotiation).
This talk will focus on the role of communities of practice and ethics of care in helping both the military and citizens in navigating the current ethical landscape.
A lively discussion to follow!
