How Different Will the AI Future Be?
About this Event
1400 Washington Ave, Albany, NY 12222
We are living through a digital revolution. It is not the first digital revolution we have experienced, though. In this lecture, Dr. Dave Karpf will share a set of observations about the lessons for the present that we can draw from the past thirty years of technologically-driven change.
Dave Karpf is an associate professor in the George Washington University School of Media and Public Affairs, where he teaches and conducts research on political communication and internet politics. Karpf writes the Substack newsletter "The Future, Now and Then," which focuses on the history of the digital future. He is the author of The MoveOn Effect and Analytic Activism. His next book, Vaporware, Inc.: How Silicon Valley Sells the Future to Own the Present will be published in January 2027.
All are welcome.
