Welcome groundbreaking documentary filmmaker, Christine Choy to UALbany with the Department of Art and Art History. Since the early 1970s, Choy has been committed to social justice as a pioneer of documentary filmmaking. In addition to being an academy-award nominated filmmaker of international renown, she has taught at NYU, Yale, Cornell and SUNY Buffalo. Join us for screenings of some of her earliest work (Teach Our Children, 1972) and some of her latest (The Exiles, 2022), along with a Q&A with the director.
