Working with Emotions: A Workshop for Reflective Practice

When: Wednesday, February 8, 2023
1:00 AM - 4:00 AM
Cost: $70
Description: The emotions of social workers have often been described as an obstacle to good social work intervention. Having a ‘detached attitude’ towards service users is considered one of the fundamental components of being a professional. Training that aims to help participants experience strategies for exploring and sharing the area of emotions is often neglected. This workshop draws on a series of concepts and approaches, such as ‘emotional intelligence’, ‘emotional agility’ and ‘self-compassion.'
