Description: Confusion about cannabis abounds. Data from my lab and others suggest that the plant is neither the heinous generator of all ills nor a magical medical panacea. Despite effusive reports, ameliorative effects of the plant or its derivatives, especially cannabidiol, are exaggerated or easily achieved with less expensive products. Negative consequences might pale in comparison to troubles related to alcohol or opiates, but they appear consistently in subsets of daily users.
