Description: In the heady atmosphere of Rio's carnival, two people meet and fall in love. Eurydice has run away from home to Rio to avoid a man she is convinced is going to kill her. Orfeo works as a tram conductor and is engaged to Mira - as far as Mira is concerned anyway. As Eurydice and Orfeo get to know one another they fall deeply in love. When Eurydice disappears, Orfeo sets out to find her. A 1959 film directed by Marcel Camus, featuring Breno Mello and Marpessa Dawn.
