Religious Trauma: Definition and Treatment

Description: In this course, we will turn our attention to examining the various aspect of religious trauma. We will learn how to hold space and bear witness for people struggling with adverse religious experiences. We will examine how our own experience of religious practice can influence our clinical work. We will also discuss diagnostic criteria. Finally, this course will look at various forms of treatment that can be offered to begin the healing process, both for our clients and for ourselves.
