An Emerging Population: Parents of Estranged Adult Kids (PEAK)

When: Friday, January 27, 2023
9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Where:
Cost: $70
Description: Clinicians need to be equipped to assess and treat the impacts of traumatizing life events. Current misunderstandings and cultural constructs can impact how a clinician approaches this population. Without this understanding, therapists can do further harm to client’s mental health. At a time in life when the physical, financial, social, mental and spiritual wellbeing of older adults can be compromised by advancing age, estrangement is an additional impact on an already compromised health system.
