Description: Celebrated translator into English of Latin American Nobel Prize-winning authors Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Mario Vargas Llosa, Edith Grossman will present her newest work, Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz: Selected Works (2014), a collection of poems by Sister Juana, 17th century nun, early feminist and “the mother of Mexican literature.” In 2003, Grossman published a new translation of Don Quixote that is widely hailed as a masterpiece.
